Wolfgang Van Halen Drops Off Bill For Final Black Sabbath Concert Because Of Creed Commitment

During an interview with the radio station WRIF in Detroit, Wolfgang Van Halen revealed that he has had to withdraw from the lineup for Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne‘s final concert on July 5, due to his band Mammoth‘s commitment as a support act for Creed‘s summer tour. “I, unfortunately, had to back out because the Creed tour starts the day after, and I wouldn’t be able to pull it off,” Van Halen said, while adding, “I’m very excited to watch it, but I unfortunately had to back out.” Mammoth will support Creed on their North American summer tour, which kicks off July 9 in Lexington, Kentucky, a few days after the Back to the Beginning concert in Birmingham, England, which also features Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Pantera, Slayer, and more. In addition to supporting Creed this summer, Mammoth will also set off on a headlining U.S. tour of their own this fall. (Consequence of Sound
