Jackson Browne, Shooter Jennings, Marshall Crenshaw Top Lineup For Warren Zevon Benefit Concert

Jackson Browne, Shooter Jennings, and Marshall Crenshaw will headline, Meet Me in L.A.: The Songs of Warren Zevon, a benefit concert celebrating the late singer-songwriter’s legacy on October 24 at Los Angeles’ United Theater. Presented by the Wild Honey Foundation and the Zevon Family, the event will feature performances of 25 songs from Zevon’s catalog by an all-star ensemble including Jorge Calderón, Phil Cody, Susan Cowsill, Steve Wynn, Inara George, and Eleni Mandell, supported by the Wild Honey Orchestra alongside band members Leland Sklar and Bob Glaub. “This will be an unforgettable and deeply emotional celebration of one of the best songwriters/performers of the last 50 years,” reads a press release about the event. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization and the Ed Asner Family Center for the Autism Community. This tribute follows Zevon’s recent posthumous induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, where he received the Musical Influence Award. (Rolling Stone)
