On Friday (October 17), Kelly Osbourne accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, at the Birmingham Awards held in the heavy metal pioneer’s beloved hometown of Birmingham, England. In an Instagram post the following day, Kelly shared photos of her proudly holding the award in front of the memorial for her dad on Black Sabbath Bridge. “Last night I had the honor of accepting my father’s lifetime achievement award on his behalf at the @birminghamawards,” Kelly wrote. “I know that my dad was shining down on us from heaven with pride because being a #Brummy meant more to him than anything. He loved the city and he loved the people. This honor would have meant the world to him. From the bottom of my heart thank you.” Ozzy died of a heart attack on July 22 at the age of 76, just 17 days after his final live performance at the “Back to the Beginning” concert in Birmingham.
