FROM Matthew 25: Ministries
CENTRAL TEXAS FLOODING 2025
UPDATED SUNDAY, JULY 6, 2025 12:50 PM EST
Matthew 25: Ministries is responding to help communities devastated by catastrophic flash flooding across parts of Central Texas. Several inches of rain have fallen since Thursday afternoon, marking one of the region’s most intense downpours in decades. River levels surged dramatically, sweeping away vehicles, homes, and campers in the floodwaters. Over 20 fatalities have been reported, while dozens of individuals remain unaccounted for. Rescue efforts are ongoing but are being challenged by washed out and inaccessible roads.
Matthew 25, in partnership with Procter & Gamble and Walmart, has deployed its Disaster Response Team, including the Tide Loads of Hope Mobile Laundry Unit and mobile shower and restroom trailer. The team will also provide essential relief supply distribution to the affected communities. Matthew 25 is in active communication with local partners to assess urgent and ongoing needs.
