R.E.M. to Release 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of "Green" in May; Live EP for Record Store Day

Twenty-five years ago, R.E.M. burst onto the scene with their major label debut, Green. Now, the band has revealed that they’ll be celebrating the milestone with a deluxe reissue of the album, due in stores on May 14.

Titled Green: 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, the compilation boasts two CDs that include a remastered version of the original album, and an album featuring 21 live performances that were recorded during the band’s November 10, 1989 concert in Greensboro, North Carolina.

If you can’t wait that long to get your hands on the reissue, the band will also be dropping a limited edition EP on Record Store Day, April 20. The EP, titled Live in Greensboro, features five live performances from the November 10, 1989 Greensboro show that aren't included in the 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition: “So. Central Rain (I’m Sorry),” “Feeling Gravity's Pull,” “Strange,” “King of Birds,” and “I Remember California.”
